I work from observation. I combine long-term scrutiny with the immediacy of the first encounter with the subject and idea. The work is evidence of a studio practice as just that – practice: observation of form and structure, eye hand skill, seeing over thinking, detail orientation, and process. Traditional methods as a means of discovering my sensibility in the here and now.
